Drop The Beat is the first installment of the Beats and Bars Series. I create a lot of musical art because it has an extreme effect on what I do. Music can set the mood from a tired one to an energetic one. Color and music has been instrumental in helping me overcome emotional trauma of loosing my mother and sister. Art is therapeutic to me because I used it to help me go through difficult times of trauma. 

Drop The Beat is a 16 x 20 mix media on canvas. I used more of a minimalist style with this. I wanted to focus more on the contrasting colors and how they related to the negative space.
